General description
Microbial contamination is one of the biggest challenges for industrial products that mainly include pharma food. The Pharma industry is one of the biggest sectors that produce pharmaceutical formulations in forms including wet and dry for the prevention, controlling and curing of diseases.
Pharma products are extremely liable for spoilage through microorganisms. Even though the pharma companies produce products through good manufacturing practices (GMP) abiding by the standard governing body regulations such as food and drug administration (FDA), Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation(CDSCO) etc., still there are high possibilities for contamination in the pharma products. The contamination reduces the shelf life of the pharmaceutical agents and relatively induces high health risks for the consumers. Hence pharma companies majorly employ quality control and quality assurance departments to make the produced products meet the expected standards.
Programme specific description
This internship on microbial testing of pharma products helps the learners to understand the various techniques involved in sampling, microbial analysis and standard evaluation that is essential in quality control analysis of pharma products. The programme provides better scope for the participants to handle microbial cultures and microbial laboratory. The process knowledge and skill gained through the programme may aid the participants in gaining the advantage in jobs related to microbial quality control in the pharma sector, to be involved in higher research and development in pharmacology and pharmaceutical technology.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be a citizen of India.
- The applicant should be having or pursuing degree in the stream of science and technology in any government approved institution/college/university. The age of the applicant should have been completed 18 years on the joining date.
- The age of the applicant should not exceed 29 at the time of joining.
- School students and diploma students are not eligible for this course.

Why is there an enrollment fee for an internship?
Our internships are kind of a professional development programme type. They are more than ordinary online courses. In our internship programme we have designed our participants to be trained enough in the job role based works under proper monitoring and mentoring in our cloud system. The enrolment fee is collected for portal improvement and maintenance, mentoring, continuous evaluation, certification services etc. The enrolment fee is unavoidable as we are not involved in any commercialisation of our online intern works.
