About programme
"Pre-industrial internship" refers to the uniquely developed skill development programme of BioLim to bridge the industrial and academic world.
'Preparatory internship' refers to the specially designed pre-industrial programme for UG, PG learners, PhD scholars etc to prepare themselves with academic laboratory, research and task management skills which will help them to excel in their curriculum, research projects, fellowship interviews, PhD enrolments and for career planning.
Life science research is one of the important research sectors that aids in fundamental understanding of the living organisms and to produce more valuable outcomes from them for betterment of overall life in the earth. Many researchers around the world show much importance and dedication towards life science research. This passion also continues to the budding researcher, who after graduation steps into this excellent field of research with so many dreams.
Though the graduates come across research papers or research performance periods in their academics, still they lack many of the skills that are essential for beginning a research or supporting a research process in life sciences. Many who step into the role of junior research fellow (JRF) are coming across this hurdle and it takes weeks to several months for them to understand the fundamental roles and responsibilities of the JRF designation and to develop skills accordingly.
We, BioLim, understand the issues of the graduates who are stepping into JRF positions and have come up with this pre-industrial internship as a junior research fellow. Many of the research in the subdisciplines of the life science sector such as microbiology, biochemistry, plant science, animal science, pharmacology, environmental sciences, agriculture etc are multidisciplinary. Hence we defined this programme to focus on all the major sub disciplines of life science research.
Our pre-industrial internship gains more importance across many countries on the ground that every learner needs to experience different jobs related to his/her field through internships before they decide a proper goal for their career. Attending regular industry related programmes in all different jobs related to a subject among the busy academic schedule is not an easy task, but our pre-industrial internship provides this opportunity for the learners in a comfortable way.
We are providing scope for the learners, those who are pursuing graduation and also for those who have completed the graduation to undergo this pre-industrial internship programme in order to assist them understand more about the JRF in life sciences role and to develop required skills.
